Great Oscars Moments: Tom Hanks Wins for “Philadelphia”

Tom Hanks won back-to-back Best Actor Oscars for his performances in Philadelphia and Forrest Gump, respectfully.
His first acceptance speech was especially touching where he thanked his high school drama coach and a classmate, both of whom were openly gay men who deeply impacted his life and contributed to his performance in the film. He ended his speech by paying tribute to all of those who have passed away from HIV/AIDS, just like his character in the film, Andrew.
In both this speech and his acceptance for Forrest Gump, Hanks sends loving comments to his wife from the stage. What a lucky lady!
*VOTE to send me to the Oscars!
