Marion Cotillard blew me away in “La Vie en Rose.” What an incredible performance. Now I’m even more excited to see her in “Nine” tomorrow!

Dad just found an original Broadway recording of “The Sound of Music” on a LP record in my grandmother’s house from 1959.
“Avatar” is a true cinematic feat. Finally, a CG masterpiece with a true plot and so many strong messages. I now appreciate this genre.
“Avatar” is “Pocahontas” meets “Jurassic Park” meets “The Lord of the Rings” meets “The Matrix” meets “Fern Gully” — brilliant.
Going to see “Avatar” in 3-D, the way director James Cameron said it was meant to be seen.

Just finished 1932 Best Picture winner “Grand Hotel” starring screen icons Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, John & Lionel Barrymore
Starting “The Star Machine,” a look at the studio system and the golden age of movie between the ’30s and ’50s. Looks like a good read!
I truly enjoyed “Invictus” — the fight for equality was skillfully paralleled with rugby competition. Freeman and Damon were spectacular.
Seeing “Invictus” starring Morgan Freeman, Matt Damon, directed by the imcomparable Clint Eastwood — all nominated for Golden Globes.
Spent the afternoon at the Coke Center in Centennial Park. Dinner at FAB tonight, site of the Atlanta Housewives showdown.
